Nathan's paper on climate change effects on soil moisture and fire risk in Southeast Asian peatlands is now out in ERL
We find that soil moisture reductions (and associated increases in fire risk) due to climate change are significant relative to current ENSO-related interannual variability.

Krishna's paper showing plant water sensitivity significantly affects burned area sensitivity to VPD now published Open Access in Nature Ecology & Evolution
We also show a disproportionate number of regions have both high plant water sensitivity and VPD trends, and that WUI population growth is fastest in highly sensitive ecosystems.
